• Per the Texas Education Agency, Marshall ISD must notify our parents and community members that G.W. Carver Elementary and David Crockett Elementary are in year two of being identified as Improvement Required. Each campus must create a turnaround plan. Campus committees that consist of campus personnel and parent/community members are in the process of finalizing the turnaround plans. We as a district would like your feedback on the drafts of the plans. Please view the drafted plans below and provide us with your feedback.

The Marshall Independent School District proudly serves approximately 5,500 students in Marshall, Texas. The district was founded in 1898 with the creation of Marshall High School.

MISD was named a "Met Standard" school district by the Texas Education Agency in 2017. Nine of the district's 11 campuses also were rated as "Met Standard" during the 2016-2017 school year, with South Marshall STEM Academy earning five distinction designations. The opening of MISD's Legacy 2017 schools in the fall of 2017 consolidated the district to just seven schools, with six of those schools entering the year officially as a "Met Standard" campus.
