PRINCIPLES OF EDUCATION
This course is an introduction to the various careers in the world of education and training. Students use self-knowledge to explore and analyze careers in this pathway.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT
Child growth and development are addressed in this course, from prenatal through school-age development. Students learn skills to aid in child development and promote the well-being of children as they investigate careers related to the care and education of children.

INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICE (READY, SET, TEACH)
This course is a field-base internship that provides students with the principles of effective teaching practices. Students work in direct instructional roles with elementary, middle and/or high school students. They assist with record-keeping, direct activities, and develop materials for education.

PRACTICUM IN EDUCATION (RST 2)
This course expands on the principles learned in Ready Set Teach. Students gain additional experience in educational settings.
