Aaron Babino - Associate Athletic Director

babino Former Texas Longhorn standout Aaron Babino serves as the Mavericks' Associate Athletic Director and also coaches linebackers.

Coach Babino, a native of Port Arthur, played at the University of Texas from 1996-99 under coaches John Mackovic and Mack Brown, and capped his college career by being named Most Valuable Player of the 1999 Cotton Bowl following the Longhorns' win over Mississippi State. While at Texas Babino was a teammate of Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams. 

After spending over two decades in the Austin area as either a player or coach, Coach Babino spent the 2016 season coaching at Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler before joining the new Marshall staff and Coach Claude Mathis in the summer of 2017.

Aaron is married to Christina, and has three children: Alexis (19), Camille (13) and Aaron Jr. (4).
