Sonic Donates Over $8,000 To MHS

This is the image for the news article titled Sonic Donates Over $8,000 To MHSMarshall High School and Marshall ISD officials accepted a donation for over $8,000 Tuesday morning from Sonic Corporation for the purchase of 25 new Chromebooks to be used in the MHS Math and English departments.

The donation of $8,136.50 was presented to the school district by Sonic’s Shane Ray, Managing Supervisor. Representing MISD and MHS during the presentation were Tina Brown, MHS Principal; Karen Hampton, MHS Administrative Assistant and Hutcherson Hill, MISD Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Student Services.

“As local Sonic drive-in operators we see giving back as a way to be a good neighbor, and as a way to have a positive impact on the community,” said Ray. “We thank Marshall for the daily support of our small business and look forward to serving you soon.”

Sonic and its hundreds of licensed franchisees have a long history of giving back to the communities they serve. Sonic’s national award-winning program, “Limeades for Learning,” in partnership with, benefits teachers and students in local communities. Since its inception, this Sonic program has donated over $4.2 million for teachers’ projects and helped make a difference in thousands of students’ lives.
