Mr. Windham comes to Marshall from Pleasant Grove ISD, where he served as the Director of Bands since 2015. He steps in to replace Mr. David Densmore, who has been named Band Director in New Caney ISD after serving as MISD Band Director since 2009.

Windham brings 13 years of experience directing junior high, high school and college band programs. Prior to being named Director of Bands at Pleasant Grove, he served as Marching Band Coordinator at the University of Arkansas-Monticello from 2010-2015 and also was Director of Bands at Omaha Paul Pewitt ISD from 2007-2010. He began his teaching career as an Assistant Band Director at Atlanta ISD in 2006-2007.

His bands have a streak of five straight years earning Division I ratings at UIL Marching Contest. He has served as an All-Region clinician and is also an active professional trombonist. He is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Association of Texas Small School Bands, Four States Bandmasters Association, Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Association, and Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity.

Windham received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Henderson State University in 2004, and earned a Master of Arts in Music Performance and Music Theory from the University of North Texas in 2007. He and his wife, Gina, have two daughters, Kaydence and Klayre.
