The Marshall Independent School District Department of Special Programs is committed to providing students with special needs an educational environment that supports them in reaching their full potential. Each student with a disability has the opportunity to participate in a free, appropriate education designed to meet his or her individual needs. MISD complies with all aspects of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
The Special Programs is responsible for Dyslexia, Section 504, Special Education, General Education Homebound and School Health Services. These services are for students who have significant needs and may include accommodations or modifications to the curriculum, related services and supplementary aids and services.
