Chandler Kelehan, son of Shane and Cheryl Kelehan, is the MHS Class of 2018 Valedictorian. Chandler plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in Biology.

Samantha Reeves, daughter of Kevin and Melissa Reeves, is the Class of 2018 Salutatorian. Samantha will attend the University of North Texas and major in English and Anthropology.

Ranking No. 3 in the Class of 2018 is Sarah Craig, daughter of Ben and Sandy Craig, will attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in Biology.

No. 4 is Lorraine Raymundo, daughter of Lorenzo and Clemencia Raymundo, plans to major in Business at the University of Texas at Arlington.

No. 5 is Dakota Epps, son of Johnny and Janice Epps, will attend Tyler Junior College and major in Engineering.

No. 6 is Haylie Rich, daughter of Stephanie Rich, plans to major in Professional Flight at Henderson State University.

No. 7 is Jonas Holliday, son of Marcus and Rachel Holliday, will attend Baylor University and major in Business.

No. 8 is Abigail Janvier, daughter of Osterline Duclona, will attend the University of Houston and major in Biology.

No. 9 is Olivia Runnels, daughter of James and Stacia Runnels, plans to major in History at Baylor University.

No. 10 is Melissa Gonzalez, daughter of Juan Jose Gonzalez Acevedo and Maria Gonzalez, will attend the University of Texas at Arlington, where she plans to major in Nursing.

Earlier in the day on Monday, Kelehan and Reeves were honored at the annual Val/Sal Luncheon hosted by the MHS Culinary Arts class. Family, friends and selected teachers were in attendance to honor the top graduates at the luncheon.

Graduation for the MHS Class of 2018 is scheduled for June 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Maverick Stadium.
