Open Records

Marshall ISD wishes to fully comply with open records requests in compliance with The Public Information Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 552. For a complete listing of the rights of requestors and the responsibility of governmental bodies under this legislation, click here.

Public information may be requested from the Marshall Independent School District by the public during the District’s normal business hours via the District Communications Office. It is important to note that governmental entities are not required to respond to questions via the TPIA; however, if available, records that would provide the answers to posed questions will be provided if not excepted from release via statute.

Information pertaining to charges for governmental entities providing copies of or access to information deemed public is set forth in Subchapter F of the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Sections 552.261 through 552.274. All requests to inspect or for copies of public information must be submitted in writing. Please send your written request via electronic mail to, facsimile at (903) 935-0203 or via US mail or in person to Marshall ISD Administration Building, 1305 East Pinecrest Drive, Marshall, TX 75670.

All requests for transcripts are to be directed to the Marshall High School Registrar's office at (903) 927-8800 ext. 1158.

You may contact our office at (903) 927-8700 to check the status of your filed request within five (5) to ten (10) business days from the date of our receipt of your request in the District Communications Office.
