MEGS Family,
We are so excited to celebrate the Marshall Early Graduation School class of 2025 at our upcoming graduation ceremony! This year, graduation will proceed as normal, with a few adjustments to account for construction at Maverick Stadium.
The aluminum bleachers will not be installed yet, therefore, seating will be about 6 inches lower than what the finished product will be. We encourage you to bring soft cushions or blankets as you please. Any cushions or seats that contain metal will not be permitted.
We encourage everyone to wear soft sole shoes. Construction is ongoing, and your safety is our priority.
Please note that the stadium restrooms will not be available, however, portable restroom trailers will be provided.
Handicap guests will be assisted to an accessible seat on the track.
Please remember that no outside food or drink is allowed in Maverick Stadium, and that Maverick Stadium follows the clear bag policy.
Additional information will be forthcoming as we get closer to graduation.

Please remember that on Tuesday April 1, 2025 your student will take their “Cap & Gown” picture for graduation.
We will have a cap & gown available for your student to take pictures if their own has not been delivered yet. It is not necessary that you bring your own cap and gown.
We would like for your student to have this picture taken even if you are not going to purchase any available packages. We will use these photos for a presentation during graduation.
Your student may come any time on Tuesday April 1 between 8:30 and 3:30. No appointment is necessary.
We also ask that you bring a baby photo of your student to the campus for us to scan and add to a presentation surprise for graduation by Friday April 11, 2025. You may send a digital copy of the baby picture also to Ms. Herrera at the following email address herreraa@marshallisd.com

Howdy MEGS families. Just a few reminders for you for March & April.
1.Thursday night March 6 from 4-8 is MEGS Spirit Night at Golden Chick. 20% of your purchase will be donated to MEGS for student events.
2.Next week March 10-March 14 is spring break.
3.Wednesday March 19 at 5:30 is MEGS family night. Come out and enjoy pizza sponsored by GPC.
4.Tuesday April 1 is gap & gown picture day for our graduating class.
5.Friday April 25 is the last day to complete the required credits for anyone wanting to graduate in May 2025.

This is a friendly reminder that this Wednesday night, December 4, MEGS will host our third Family Engagement Night for parents and students at 5:30pm. This is an important opportunity for all students planning to graduate this year as we will hear information regarding the state required FAFSA financial aide form. If your student is planning to graduate this May please plan to attend.
This is a friendly reminder that this Wednesday night, October 23, MEGS is having our second Family Engagement Night at 5:30. All attendees will receive instruction on how to use Skyward Family Portal as well as important information from TSTC representatives on site. We look forward to seeing you at MEGS this Wednesday. Thank you for making it a priority to get your students to school every day. MEGS has 90% plus attendance on a daily basis.
Tuesday October 1 is an Early Release day and both AM & PM session will attend the AM session. There will be no PM session due to parent conferences from 1-6pm. If you would like to visit with a teacher please call the school and make an appointment for that day.
October 7-11 will be fall break and there will be no school.
Monday October 14 is a regular school day for all MEGS students.
Your students are working hard every day. Please be sure to encourage them.

Welcome to MEGS. The 2024-2025 MISD registration for new and returning students will being on July 22nd! The FIRST day of school will be August 12, 2024. MEGS students will receive schedules on the FIRST day of class. Returning students will remain in their assigned session unless otherwise notified. Students new to MEGS for the 2024-2025 school year should report to the session noted on your acceptance notice. Go MAVS!

This Thursday, May 23, 2024 is the last day of school. BOTH the AM & PM sessions will attend the AM session on this day. The students at MEGS will be released at 12:00pm on Thursday.

Beginning on Monday, May 6, 2024 MEGS will implement a new security protocol. We have been able to purchase a walk-through metal detector for our campus. This new device will allow us to provide a higher level of security on our campus .
Your student will not have to do anything new. All the student has to do is walk through the device. We look forward to providing this additional level of safety and security for all MEGS students and staff. Go Mavs!

This is a reminder that we have STAAR and End of Course testing quickly approaching for students.
The testing schedule is as follows:
-AM & PM students will arrive at MEGS by 7:45 to prepare for testing.
-Students are not permitted to bring snacks. Snacks will be provided.
-When students complete testing each day they will call parents to come pick them up. Students will be required to be picked up when they are finished testing.
-When students that drive to school complete testing they will also be allowed to leave.

For students that want to graduate in 2024 these EOC exams are an important part of meeting the requirements for graduation.

This is a reminder that on Wednesday January 31 at 5:30pm MEGS will host our annual FAFSA night for Seniors. We will have a guest in attendance from Panola Junior College to assist everyone in getting this process completed. We will also have nachos available for all to enjoy.

Fall Break will be here before you know it!
Fall Break is October 16th-20th! There is no school for students on Monday, October 23rd, for staff development day.
The attendance of our students matters! Missing a day of school here and there may not seem like much, but absences add up!
Visit Maverick Market at the Administration Building to stock up on t-shirts, hats, cups and accessories for you and your littlest mav! Open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. M-F!

It's National School Nurse Day! We want to thank our nurses at MISD for all that they do while caring for our students!
School nurses have served a critical role in improving public health and in ensuring student’s academic success for more than 120 years!
MEGS will be hosting Workforce Wednesday today in the cafeteria and will be joined by an Army recruiter to share information to students.
