MHS Academics teams competed in Hallsville’s “Tournament of Hearts” this past Saturday! Marshall students competed in Current Issues & Events, Ready Writing, Number Sense, Calculator Applications, Math, Copyediting, Spelling & Vocabulary, Science, Social Studies, Editorial Writing, Headline Writing, and Literary Criticism.
Vinuth Gamage, Walt Truelove, Denise Corona, Natalie Hernandez, Angie Pham, and Lauren Minatrea competed in Current Issues & Events, taking home 2nd place as a team! Walt Truelove earned 1st place individually, and Vinuth Gamage earned 2nd place!
Jayden Townsend and Angie Pham competed in Headline Writing with Jayden earning 4th place and Angie earning 5th place individually. Angie additionally took home a 6th place medal in Copyediting while Jayden Townsend earned 5th place in Editorial Writing!
