Price T. Young Fine Arts Academy

Marshall ISD is proud to offer MISD student the opportunity to attend Price T. Young Fine Arts Academy in the 2022- 2023 school year. For more information, select the link below.

Marshall ISD has had a long-standing tradition of excellence in the Fine Arts. We are proud to have a versatile program consisting of Band, Choir, Dance, Orchestra, Theatre, and Visual Art.

These disciplines engage and motivate all students through active learning, critical thinking, and innovative problem solving. The fine arts develop cognitive functioning and increase student academic achievement, higher-order thinking, communication, and collaboration skills, making the fine arts applicable to college readiness, career opportunities, workplace environments, social skills, and everyday life. Students develop aesthetic and cultural awareness through exploration, leading to creative expression. Creativity, encouraged through the study of the fine arts, is essential to nurture and develop the whole child.

The Fine Arts have been a source of pride for Marshall as these programs continue to be Maverick Strong!
