MHS UIL Academics competed at Pine Tree this past Saturday.
Vinuth Gamage, Walt Truelove, Angie Pham, Jonah Baird, Natalie Hernandez, and Julius Johnson competed in Current Events, taking home 1st place as a team! Walt Truelove earned 2nd place individually in Current Events, and Vinuth Gamage earned 3rd place!
Carol Williams competed in Ready Writing, and took home 2nd place for her essay. Walt Truelove earned 5th place in Copyediting. Jayden Townsend earned 2nd place in Headline Writing.
Natalie Hernandez, Malachi Baird, Jonah Baird, and Julius Johnson competed in Literary Criticism. They earned 2nd place overall as a team! Natalie Hernandez earned 6th place individually.
