Attention sophomores and juniors... Deadline to register for the PSAT is Tuesday October 4, 2022. The fee is $15. Please remember to turn in your registration form and fee to Mrs. Hill in the Go Center.

Chili's in Marshall will be hosting a give back night for the MHS and MJHS colorguard teams this evening from 4:00-9:30 pm. Both teams will earn fifteen percent of the proceeds. Please share this flyer, and be sure to tell everyone to present the flyer when they order. Thank you for your support.

Attention seniors... Make plans to attend a Financial Aid Information session this evening at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria. FAFSA is a graduation requirement in the state of Texas. Financial Aid window opens Friday Oct. 1. Dinner will be served.

Due to the Lady Mavs home volleyball game against Whitehouse, tomorrow's pep rally will start at 2:45 pm in the main gym. Cheer on our Mavericks as they gear up to face the Carthage Bulldogs. Please note that changing the time of the pep rally will assist the volleyball team in setting up the gym to prepare for the 4:30 varsity game. Come out and cheer on our Lady Mavs and Mavericks tomorrow night.

Tomorrow's pep rally will start at 3:00 pm. Come out and help us cheer on our Mavericks as they take on the Henderson Lions tomorrow night. Be loud and proud. Go Mavs!!!

Attention seniors... Senior calendars and contracts will be passed out today during English class. Make sure to read in its entirety. Also, senior parking lot painting will be Saturday Sept. 10 from 9:00-1:00 pm weather permitting. You must have signed up for a parking space with me.

Attention Mavericks... Due to our Lady Mavs volleyball tournament next Thursday-Saturday (Aug. 25-27), MHS will postpone our first pep rally for the Tyler High game. The first pep rally will now be Friday September 2 at 2:05 pm in the main gym for the Longview game. Come out and support our Lady Mavs and Maverick football team next weekend. Go Mavs!!!

This Saturday, 8/20, the Mavettes will be hosting a Car Wash from 9am-12pm at Maverick Chevrolet (4801 E End Blvd S Marshall, TX 75672). Tickets are $5 each. All proceeds will go toward their contest fees. The Mavettes would love your support! You can buy a ticket from any Mavette or at the car wash.

Attention parents... MHS will have our first lockdown drill this Thursday at 1:20 pm (6th period). Students will not be able to be checked in or out during that time. Please plan accordingly. Thank you! MHS administraton

MHS schedule pick up for 10th-12th grade is Monday Aug. 8 in the main office foyer. Seniors 8:30-10:30, Juniors 10:30-12:30, Sophomores 2:00-4:00. Parents must have completed online registration in order for your student to receive their schedule. Staff will be available Friday Aug. 5 and Monday Aug. 8 during regular business hours if you need assistance.

This is a reminder that Panola and the MHS Counselors are hosting an informational meeting tonight at 6 pm in the MHS cafeteria regarding the Associates in Education program. This program is geared toward students who have an interest in a career in the field of education. Come receive information even if your student did not sign up for this pathway. Attention Mavericks!! DCI's 9 time world champion The Cadets will begin warm-up at 7:30 pm and do a full run of their show for you, the Marshall community in Maverick Stadium this evening. They will continue to rehearse after their run through until about 9pm. This is a great opportunity for you to see a killer show, and how a world class corp prepares drill and music. We would love for every band student to be in attendance to support this event. Mr. Windham will have small concessions and possibly a snow-cone stand!

Online student registration for returning students starts Wednesday July 20 through Skyward Family Access. You may visit the Administration Building if you need assistance. Registration must be complete in order for your student to receive a schedule. Thank you!!
