W.B.T. Fiesta Night

ACTUALIZAR: El agua está de vuelta en William B. Travis. NO transportaremos a los estudiantes a MHS hoy. Si ya has recogido a tu hijo, puedes traerlo de vuelta a la escuela u optar por tenerlo contigo. Los niños pueden seguir siendo revisados fuera de la escuela si así lo desea, sin embargo, no hay necesidad de recogerlos en este momento. A los estudiantes de William B. Travis se les proporcionará agua embotellada.

UPDATE: The water is back on at William B Travis. We will NOT be transporting students to MHS today. If you have already picked up your child you may bring them back to school, or choose to keep them with you. Children may continue to be checked out of school if you choose, however there is no need to pick them up at this time. Students at William B Travis will be provided with bottled water.

William B Travis no tiene agua y no estamos seguros de cuándo estará disponible. Los estudiantes pueden empezar a ser recogidos de inmediato. Cualquier estudiante que no pueda ser recogido será atendido y transportado a la 1:00 al auditorio de MHS en autobús escolar. Permanecerán allí y tendrán acceso al agua hasta las 2:30, cuando nuestros autobuses los transportarán de vuelta a William B Travis para ir en autobús a casa o ser levantados en coche. Los padres tienen hasta las 12:45 para recoger a su hijo. Ningún niño será liberado una vez que esté en el MHS. Una vez que sean llevados de vuelta a William B Travis, serán liberados para que los recojan en coche o los que los habituales del autobús serán llevados a casa como de costumbre. Si el agua regresa a William B Travis antes de las 12:45, lo comunicaremos y mantendremos a nuestros estudiantes de William B Travis en su propia escuela.

William B. Travis is without water and we are not sure when it will be available. Students may begin to be picked up immediately. Any student who is unable to be picked up will be taken care of and at 1:00 transported to MHS auditorium via school bus. They will remain there and have water access until 2:30, when our buses will transport them back to William B. Travis for bussing home or car pick up. Parents have until 12:45 to pick up their child at William B Travis. No child will be released once they are at MHS. Once they are bussed back to William B Travis they will be released for car pick up or regular bus riders will be taken home as usual. If water returns to William B Travis prior to 12:45 we will communicate that and keep our William B Travis students at their own campus.

WBT March Newsletter

WBT staff members want to provide you with a few reminders: -Our chocolate fundraiser started last week. Please make sure that you turn in the candy money immediately after selling a box. -WBT’s Sweetheart Dance will be held February 9th. Please RSVP as soon as possible. It is $5 per person. -Saturday School for 3rd-5th graders will begin this Saturday, January 27th from 9-12 o’clock. Please be sure to complete your form by Thursday, January 25th. Saturday school will provide an opportunity for students to receive additional assistance.

W.B.T. Veterans Day Celebration Celebración del Día de los Veteranos

Fall Break will be here before you know it! Fall Break is October 16th-20th! There is no school for students on Monday, October 23rd, for staff development day.

We would like to welcome our WBT families to enjoy a night filled with math activities and math tips. Nachos will be served.

The attendance of our students matters! Missing a day of school here and there may not seem like much, but absences add up!

Visit Maverick Market at the Administration Building to stock up on t-shirts, hats, cups and accessories for you and your littlest mav! Open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. M-F!

It's National School Nurse Day! We want to thank our nurses at MISD for all that they do while caring for our students! School nurses have served a critical role in improving public health and in ensuring student’s academic success for more than 120 years!

Robyn Brown, 1 day ago WBT will be having a MOCK STAAR test tomorrow March 9, 2023. We ask that all students in grades 3-5 keep their cell phones at home, as well as their backpacks. We also ask that all students in ALL grade levels be on time. Students in grades 3-5 should get a good night's rest and have a good breakfast so they can do their best. We will have a CLOSED CAMPUS to ALL parents, this is to ensure we are following TEA guidelines. Please NO early Check-outs, and parents will not be able to have lunch with their students or drop things off. Please feel free to call if you have questions. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Our students will dress in their favorite storybook character. They must have the book to accompany the costume. We can’t wait to see them all dressed.
