Marshall ISD Recognized as a CTE District of Distinction by CTAT:
Marshall, Texas – November 5, 2025 – Marshall ISD is proud to announce its selection as a CTE District of Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas (CTAT). This esteemed recognition celebrates districts across Texas that demonstrate exemplary leadership, innovation, and commitment to student success through high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
The CTE District of Distinction program, launched by CTAT, highlights districts that excel in workforce readiness, foster innovation in CTE, and inspire others through their dedication to student achievement and community impact. Honored districts serve as models of excellence, showcasing best practices and driving progress in CTE statewide.
Marshall ISD Superintendent Dr. Richele Langley expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, "This prestigious designation is truly an award for our Marshall community. Since becoming the MISD Superintendent, our district staff, MISD School Board and community members have spent countless numbers of hours planning and developing Career and Technical courses and classrooms that are developing our students into employees ready for the Texas workforce. Our MISD Bond steering committee placed our MISD CTE program as a lead driver in the renovation and new construction of Marshall High School. In addition, local businesses, corporations, Marshall EDC and the City of Marshall have helped MISD strengthen programs we already had, while developing new ones that will help our local economy by providing skilled employees upon graduation from Marshall High School. A few examples include: Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Firefighter Pathway, Culinary Arts, Industrial Robotics, Medical Technician, Welding, Auto Mechanics, Agricultural Mechanics, etc. MISD offers many pathways and models of excellence. We appreciate our teachers and district leaders who have worked so hard to build our CTE program. This distinction places MISD in the top 72 districts out of over 1,200 in Texas embodying best practices and inspiring quality programming across the state. Marshall ISD is the only school district in our area to win this prestigious designation. We are proud that Marshall ISD continues to demonstrate exceptional innovation, collaboration and a positive impact for our community."

Honored districts are selected based on their ability to meet rigorous criteria that include innovative programming, industry based certifications, alignment with workforce needs, and exceptional student outcomes.
