Theatre

The Marshall High School Theatre Department has four yearly shows. In the fall, we have main show or musical and a mini-christmas skit. In the spring, we have UIL OAP and our senior direct.

Our program is dedicated to fostering creativity, collaboration, and confidence through the performing arts. We offer students a dynamic and trusting environment to explore their passions both on and off the stage, emphasizing the value of hard work, artistic growth, and the ensemble spirit.

Although we started small, with just 4 members, we’ve grown tremendously to a group of 15 talented, passionate students in class, with many out of class to add to our numbers (26 as of this year). Our growth has been supported by the growing number of parent support, which has been a game changer to our success. They continue to be one of our biggest strengths.

We’re also expanding our horizons through trips to theatre events in and out of state, with a dream of visiting New York and experiencing Broadway together one day. Our Drama Club meets every other Monday, providing a space to connect, have fun, and explore theatre beyond the stage.

As proud participants in UIL One-Act Play competitions, we strive to produce high-quality, thought-provoking performances that reflect our dedication to storytelling and excellence. In our program, we hold close to our motto, "don’t ever forget," and we remind each other, "we are special."

We are proud to represent Marshall High School as Marshall Mavericks. Join us for a show—we can’t wait to see you in the audience. Go Mavs!

Together, we make theatre that inspires!
